Halloween!

We had a very fun day. It started out with pancakes and bacon. Then Philip helped me make some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. They were delicious. And here is Philip all ready to go out trick or treating!

Walking from house to house.

The stash!

C is for Cookie

Philip watching his favourite video.

He is completely capable of finding his way around the iPod to play the games and watch this on youtube. It is just astonishing.

October Fun

October has been a full and fun month. And here are a few of the photos to show you how we have kept busy.

Philip builds and plays with his train tracks daily.

Mary, Anastasia, and Isaac came to visit for Canadian Thanksgiving and stayed for the week. It was so great to have them and show off our new city.

This little guy is just too cute!

We went to the Children's Museum and there was lots to keep everyone busy!

A musical duet!

Philip really liked giving Anastasia a ride on the snowmobile.

And a huge fire truck made Philip very happy.

Philip and I returned the next week to the museum and met a celebrity. Wags the dog from the kids show The Wiggles. Even though Philip has never seen the show, he still liked seeing the big dog.

Daddy's birthday!

And of course, lots of beautiful colors!

Long time no see!

Well I know that I have been terribly neglectful of my blogging over the last few months. But don't worry, by the time I finish this post you will understand why.

Here are a few photos to show you just what we have been up to.

Lots of reading!
Lots of car trips! Philip loves bridges.
Meeting new cousins.
And playing with the rest.
More reading.
Trips to the park with a cool light house.
Feeding hungry ducks.
Playing in more parks.
Packing.
Moving.
Excited about weddings.
Excited about seeing cousins at the wedding.
Grant and Caitlin's wedding.
Trip to KC to see more cousins and attend another wedding!
Meeting another new cousin.
Feeding birds at the zoo.
John and Becky's wedding.
And all this fun simply wore Philip out; he couldn't finish his bowl of cereal.
And all this fun is increased by the fact that baby #2 is expected at the beginning of March.

This picture was at 11wks and now I am 20wks.
I can only imagine how much this little one has changed since then!

Saturday Morning

This morning has been nice a quiet around here. Philip found his old car seat and was having fun playing in the closet. Mike went to play the organ and Philip watched a bit of Max and Ruby while I caught up on some of my favorite blogs. Then we talked with family on the phone.

It was after this that we needed something else special to do. So I decided to make some Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies! While they cooled on the racks, Philip did voice some concern that the cookie monster was going to come and eat all the cookies! He can say the funniest things sometimes. You can tell by the excitement in his eyes that he really wants to eat those cookies. And now he is just waiting for Dad to get home so he can have another.

The sky is dark now and we are listening to the rain and thunder outside. The fresh air coming in the patio door is wonderful! I hope that you all are having a great Saturday too.

Building

It makes me so happy when I see my little one playing nicely. And what is even better is when he tells me his great structure is a Church! At least I know that we are doing something right.

Here they are!

I am ready to pass along the Lovely Blog Award to 15 fellow bloggers. Here are the rules that I get to play by:

1. Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.
2. Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered.
3. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

Since I am fairly new to the whole world of blogging, it has been a fun search to find 15 new lovely blogs. And I have found so many!

So here they are in no particular order:

I hope that you enjoy their blogs as much as I do!

Happy Canada Day!

Today is Canada Day and so in honor of that last night we went to the RCMP Sunset Ceremonies. It is a relaxed show in which the officers show off some of their skills on horse back and with the trained police dogs. This first picture is from two years ago when we attended in the VIP section. It is a really fun event! However, last night it ended up raining on us and we had to leave early. Philip had a blast and was very excited to see the animals. He was really good at cheering for them too!

I Won!

I took part in the "Beautiful Flower Treasury Hunt" which traveled through four fabulous blogs showcasing some wonderful flowers. And low and behold I won the draw on three of the blogs!

The first ACEO is from tapestry316. Check out her blog and etsy shop

The second ACEO comes from alwaysartistic. Check out her blog and etsy shop!

The third ACEO comes from allieart4children. Check out her blog and etsy shop!

Although I didn't win this one from Marlene, I still think that it is fabulous and you should check out her blog and etsy shop!

Thanks again to all of you ladies for letting me partake is such a fun give away!

You too can have a chance to win in their next Treasury Hunt beginning on July 6th. You just pick one of their blogs to start with and then loop all the way through leaving comments. It is that simple! Good luck!

BBQ!

There is nothing more satisfying than some delicious BBQ on a sunny afternoon. We managed to make it down to the annual Chicken and Ribs Cook off on Sparks street and let me tell you it was fantastic! We first started off with some ribs and chicken and then walked around enjoying an ice coffee. After that we indulged in a pork sandwich. All the flavors were so unique and equally pleasing. Mike thinks that when he retires we will just have to follow these traveling vendors all over N. America. It really was such a nice treat since there are no real BBQ restaurants here in town.

By sheer luck, I managed to log in a snag a treasury! I think that I must be in the mood for some strawberries. Just click here to see the treasury.
